The name Vincent means ‘to conquer’. One thing about my dad was that he never gave up. Even when he became ill back in 2018, and left hospital, he was determined to return to work. He always used to tell us that he was working hard for us children so that we wouldn’t have to suffer. Now that he has gone to sleep for the very last time, I do miss him so much everyday. But I can see him in the legacy that he has left behind and I am beyond grateful for all that he did for us - I can truly say that we; his children are blessed after him. Happy Father’s Day in advance!

This verse has been my anchor verse in a season where I experienced total grief and absolute joy simultaneously.
Father's Day will look and feel a little different for me and my family this year after losing my dad a couple of months ago, but I do have comfort in the fact that God is my Father whether or not I have one in the physical. For that reason alone, is why I have joy that I still have a daddy to run to.
On the 14th April I said goodnight to my daddy for the very last time, two weeks later I was due to get married. It was my dad's wish, that no matter what happened, although he desperately wanted to be there to see his only girl get married, he wanted us to make sure the wedding went ahead.
If I was waiting for time to heal, I’d be waiting for an eternity. Time may help with the memory, but only God can get in and heal the heart.
I am grateful that God has shown up in a way only He could during this season. He gave me strength, courage and showed me His unfailing love, especially through His people who cried and laughed with me, held me and prayed for me, called and messaged me!! I truly am thankful for all of you and for your amazing support.
God is my healer, your healer!! Jehovah Rapha will make our hearts whole again, in Jesus name. Amen.
